Candidate for Farrer
Kieran Drabsch, Labor’s candidate for Farrer, is a committed high school teacher who has worked with students from all walks of life for over eight years. Having grown up across rural NSW, Kieran has seen the need for strong leadership from the bush in order to keep vital services such as hospitals, schools and TAFES in rural communities.
Kieran currently works with students in Griffith’s high schools. Having seen the consequences of the current government’s cuts to hospitals and schools in the communities of Farrer, Kieran is determined to fight for a better deal. For too long, the hard-working people in towns like Griffith, Leeton, Deniliquin and Hay have been ignored.
As primary carer for his fiancée, he has witnessed first-hand how the downgrading of Griffith Base Hospital services has limited the nurses and doctors ability to deliver the quality care they wish to provide their patients.
As a Christian, Kieran volunteers his time with local churches and aims to serve with trust, integrity, compassion and wisdom. Kieran enjoys sports such as soccer, cricket, AFL and Rugby League. He is looking forward to seeing the great local sport found throughout Farrer, as he visits different communities. Kieran has been a member of the ALP since his early 20’s and grew up supporting the Labor values of shared prosperity and a fair go for all in the workplace.
